This agenda item is the most symbolic of all celebrations, since 1903, when the Battle of Flowers was first conducted, incorporating traditional Carnival characters: King Momo, Mary Moñitos and Man Cayman. The Battle of Flowers is a parade of floats, groups, dances and costumes, including highlights Marimonda, hooded with long noses, giant, big-headed dwarfs, etc. The parade is led by the coach of the Queen to dance and throw flowers at the audience, accompanied by a large troupe of princes and princesses.
